About the Illustrator
I'm Alexis Harris, a Bay Area–based artist and live illustrator with a lifelong love of creating. After a career in creative direction, graphic and brand design, and design leadership in tech, I wanted to use art to bring a little more joy and human connection into the world.
I love that live illustration happens when people come together to celebrate. My work is less about documenting life exactly as it looked and more about preserving how it felt. My favorite part is seeing someone's face light up when they see their finished illustration—and imagining how, days or weeks later, it might bring them right back to the people, the celebration, and the feeling of that day.
That's what I love about illustrating memories: turning a joyful moment into something you can return to again and again.
